Why did you choose WLC?
I was unsure about my path after high school, and WLC was the only college I applied to because my siblings went there. Looking back, I can really appreciate the value of the WLC community and how WLC prepared me for a life of servant leadership.
Tell us about your favorite WLC experience.
I can’t just pick one, so here are my top 3, in no particular order:
- Traveling to Hilton Head, South Carolina, for spring break tennis trips my freshman, sophomore, and junior years,
- Late night movies (and shenanigans) in the Fischer classroom with my fellow RAs, and
- Playing Scrabble in the WU (Warrior Underground) with two of my close friends – we always paused for snacks from the Brewhaus.
What have you accomplished on your bucket list since graduation?
I don’t think I’ve ever had a “bucket list” per se, but I went on an action-packed road trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons with my friends Jake and Skylor the summer I graduated from WLC. I’ve also found a career in marketing that I really enjoy. Most importantly, I married my better half, Claire (a fellow WLC alum), last October.
What goal are you working toward right now?
I’m an active person and am always pushing myself on the tennis court or soccer pitch, or in the gym. I’m also looking to attend grad school to broaden my knowledge.
What is one thing most people don't know about you?
I’m jokey and unserious around other people, but often very quiet and introspective when by myself.
What was your first job?
I was a busboy at a country club.
What is something valuable you learned during your career?
It’s important to find a mentor or boss who is genuinely invested in your success. They can offer support, expertise, and encouragement that significantly accelerate your professional development.
