Why did you choose WLC?

I liked that it was a WELS college and smaller. Looking into things more, I learned that the college had some great connections with the community. Also, everything seemed to be done with excellence.

So many good experiences! Choosing one, I'd have to say that time of night when you should be getting some final studying done and heading to bed, but instead the tiredness has everyone goofing around and the laughter flowing.

What have you accomplished on your bucket list since graduation?

I married my high school sweetheart, and God blessed us with four kids. I have a job that I love. I am able to use my gifts to serve my church and share Jesus with others.

What goal are you working toward right now?

I want to get better at sharing the hope of the gospel with friends and even strangers.

What is one thing most people don't know about you?

I play piano. I took lessons through high school and continue to play hymns and even pop songs for fun for my family.

What was your first job?

I was a paperboy for the Waukesha Freeman.

What is something valuable you learned during your career?

Working at the WELS headquarters with a lot of pastors and teachers, my coworkers are very good at sharing encouragement. This has taught me the value of encouragement - to not hesitate when I have something complimentary to share.

“WLC is the only WELS college for training lay leaders. Correct biblical teaching of lay leaders is so valuable in the world.”
