Why did you choose WLC?

Wisconsin Lutheran College felt like a safe place to start life on my own. I was attracted to the size of the college, the people, the opportunities to get involved, and being in an environment grounded in God’s Word.

Tell us about your favorite WLC experience.

All of my WLC memories are connected to the friendships I made. Whether it be late nights at Sergeant Hall, Taco Bell runs, Saran-wrapping a friend’s truck, or playing foosball. God still uses these friendships today to help keep me grounded in my faith.

Who is your favorite WLC professor or staff member?

The most impactful person was President Greenfield. He was a member of the Board of Directors at AAL (now Thrivent Financial). Through his connections, I was able to get an internship there after my sophomore year. I continued to work there while in college and have been there ever since.

What have you accomplished on your bucket list since graduation?

Family at Arches National ParkGod has blessed my husband, Mike, and me with 24 years of marriage and three children. We’ve made memories traveling, spending time at the lake, and making the most of life.

What is next on your bucket list to complete?

Over the next couple of years, we are transitioning to being empty nesters. Next up is relocating to start our pre-retirement chapter of life. I’m a dreamer … maybe I will buy a food truck, start a consulting company, and/or travel to every U.S. National Park. We will see what God has planned for my family and me.

"This world needs more Christian leaders and WLC is preparing students to do amazing things. I’m involved in the Christian Women's Leadership Circle (CWLC). The funds support young women through grants and scholarships. I am inspired by the work God is doing through the leadership projects these students lead."
