HOMETOWN: West Allis, Wisconsin
DEGREE: B.S., Mathematics - Wisconsin Lutheran College, 1992
Background
I am proud to be a WLC alumna, graduating with a B.S. in Mathematics. I worked in my field and then in the sales force until I had my first child. My husband is a pastor and we have lived all over the country: Atlanta, Jersey, California, and now Wisconsin. I am a Wisconsin native so I have returned to my roots. I’m happy to be a part of the School of Education and am thankful to be at my alma mater. My husband, Tim, and I have three children, and we are members at Living Hope in West Allis.
Why I Love WLC
Everyone here cares about you. I knew this as a student, and I know it now. I currently have two children at WLC (and one who just graduated!), and my heart is thankful they are in a place where they can grow in their faith and create lifelong friendships.
What I Love Most About Working in the School of Education
I love seeing and meeting our students! I am happy to be a resource for them and strive to ensure that their time with us runs smoothly. I work with education professors who genuinely care about our students, and collectively, we do all we can to help them succeed.
My Favorite WLC Highlight
My sophomore year, our team ended up winning the first LMC (Lake Michigan Conference) Championship in volleyball in the history of the school and kept that crown for three straight years. Proud to be a Warrior!
My Advice to Students
Stay close to Jesus. This world will continuously bombard you, but He loves you and will never fail you.
