Our Transition to Teaching program and subsequent Master of Arts degree is ideal for mid-career professionals and bachelor's degree graduates interested in becoming a licensed (Kindergarten through 9th grade) teacher in the state of Wisconsin.
In as little as two years, you can complete the necessary coursework for Wisconsin educator licensing for elementary and middle school teaching areas (grade ranges 4K–9), leaving only two courses (six credits) to earn your master's degree.
Once you've completed your licensure course requirements, you may choose to immediately complete your master's degree, or step into the classroom and complete your final coursework after starting your career as an educator.
Our 33-credit licensure program (39 credits for the Master of Arts degree) blends both online and classroom learning; allowing flexibility and convenience, while also providing a robust learning experience.
