Wisconsin Lutheran College. It all began with a challenge…
Forty years ago a handful of faithful, determined, and dedicated Christian leaders gathered to organize this liberal arts college. In the early days classes were conducted by a part-time faculty on a part-time campus. But in just a few short years Wisconsin Lutheran College moved into its permanent home at 8800 West Bluemound Road in Milwaukee.
A new campus brought new challenges. And new opportunities.
Today our campus is much more than bricks and mortar or residence halls and classrooms. Wisconsin Lutheran College provides an excellent Christ-centered education with a broad range of degree options tailored for the 21st century. We remain passionate about our mission of preparing students for lives of Christian service. We celebrate the blessings of a steadily growing enrollment and an expanding roster of majors and pre-professional programs.
Exciting things are happening at 8800. We want you to be a part of it.
The 8800 Challenge is an opportunity to support the mission of Wisconsin Lutheran College with your ongoing gifts. Friends and donors who accept the challenge make a three-year pledge with a minimum gift of $500 in the first year. For a limited time (until December 31, 2014), a generous foundation has made matching funds available for gifts made in years one and two of the pledge.
