Housing Guide

WLC's two residence halls (Stimac Hall and Fischer Hall) feature “house” units clustered around common living areas. Each room is occupied by two or three students; two rooms form a suite having one bathroom to serve the four or five students. There are two types of suites: regular suites and corner suites.

Two person-corner room

  • Private hallway separating rooms provides a quiet atmosphere
  • Ability to lock your side of the suite (due to separate bathroom entrance)
  • Larger bathroom with separate entrance
  • Two person room for the same discounted price as a three person room

Each spacious room is carpeted and comes equipped with:

  • Bed and mattress for each student (twin XL)
  • Dresser for each student
  • Bookshelf for each student
  • Desk and chair for each student
  • Small sofa
  • Microfridge/freezer and microwave
  • Mini blinds or shades
  • Free cable television (TV not provided)
  • Each room is controlled by its own thermostat

Students are responsible for supplying their own toilet paper, hand soap, and other toiletries.

General amenities in Stimac Hall and Fischer Hall include:

  • Free Wi-Fi and plug-in ports to the campus network
  • Central air-conditioning
  • Indoor bicycle storage
  • Full kitchen including oven/stovetop
  • Free laundry facilities with e-mail and text alerts to notify when machines are available and when washing/drying cycles are complete
  • Music practice rooms

  • Commons area on each floor
    • Widescreen TVs with cable and DVD players

    • Kitchenette with full-size refrigerator and microwave

Most transfer students are eligible to live in college apartments or houses that are within a 10-minute walk from campus. Occupant number ranges from two to six residents per apartment. Cost per semester for 2013-2014 year is $2,505. College-owned houses and single apartments cost $2,900 per semester. Apartments and houses come with furniture and full-size appliances.
